Commissioners

Woodbridge Care is an independent provider established in 2023, offering high-quality residential care for children in a nurturing, family-oriented environment. Our homes are situated in the welcoming market town of Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, with a focus on supporting children aged 8-18 who have experienced trauma. We consider placements for children slightly outside this age range where it supports a balanced and harmonious group dynamic within the home.

Children We Support

We provide planned long-term and medium-term placements, with emergency referrals considered on a case-by-case basis. Our homes are suited to children with emotional and behavioural difficulties stemming from adverse childhood experiences, attachment issues, or trauma. We deliver trauma-informed care, emphasising the importance of trusting relationships as the foundation for recovery and growth. Community integration plays a central role in our therapeutic approach, helping children build resilience, a sense of belonging, and positive long-term outcomes.

Our Approach and Facilities

Our staff are highly trained in trauma recovery, attachment theory, and relational practice. The home offers a safe, homely setting with individual bedrooms, communal spaces, and access to gardens and local amenities. Located in a calm yet accessible area, children benefit from proximity to schools, parks, community activities, and services that promote normalisation and family contact.

We are fully committed to the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards, promoting children's safety, health, education, enjoyment, achievement, and preparation for independence. Our full Statement of Purpose is available on request or via our website.
